Well after 42 years the green book i have decided to start falling apart. Before it died i wanted to preserve it in an electronic format. Its 282 pages in a searchable PDF.

Besides not seeing a single copywright notice on any page of the document I also think it falls under the fair use clause because: Its no longer in print, has not been for a long while, could not find another copy to buy online or any where else for that matter, other books providing car care for this year are no longer in print as well and I'm not selling it for personal gain.

However before downloading this I would like to state that I made this file for my own personal use and I suggest you at least try one time to find an original copy yourself.

1969

2.39 MB PDF sample. So you can preview what your about to download.
>>> http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12968946/1_140_ ... enbook.pdf <<<

1969
132 MB PDF Full text. I suggest you right click and save as. This thing is huge and might lock up your browser.
>>> http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12968946/140_greenbook.pdf <<<
covers almost all carbed versions of the car and many items pertain for all years. Enjoy, took me 6 hrs scanning each page 1 by 1 on my scanner. Then 2 hrs combining all the docs to pdf.

1973
20.9 MB PDF Full text. Added 1973 Version. The quality is not great. I did not compress it. Just working with what I was given.
>>> http://dl.dropbox.com/u/12968946/1973%20volvo%20140.pdf <<<

1962-1972 exploded parts catalog
16 MG PDF Full text.

Seriously, your effort is much appreciated. I too have a physical copy, but it is falling apart.

Thanks for doing the work so everyone can benefit from this.

for the 140's all exploded parts diagrams are in the dealership book! Every time ive had to point out a part on a 140 at Jimfisher they bring out 1 of there 3 or 4, 6 inch thick binders.

If its a 83 or newer they have it in the computer.

So i guess you would have to get your hands on Jimfisher's parts catalog.

You sir, are a scholar and a gentleman!

Just think... you follow in the exalted footsteps of many a scribe who have passed on great works of art and literature for thousands of years!

Worked a deal with the ebay seller. $30 usd and my green book got me all of the volvo green books. He was rather nice. Found out he bought many of the books himself from searching the threads. He painfully scanned many into pdf himself. Some of the stuff he did find on line.

Hes just selling the cd's to pay back what it cost him to buy all the books and scan. Until he stops selling them I will not be hosting them here. But if any one asks for a specific section or info for some part Ill happily give them a link to a few of the pages that cover the question.

When that day comes ill Post them up here.

I've got the 1974 140 book if anyone's interested. It's in good shape--no grease or torn pages and all 12+ fold-out diagrams are there.
