If they still are too tight you could try bolting them up so something solid (I picked up a castiron exhaust to bolt it to) heat and bend it to fit a little tighter. Of course it would ruin the fantastic looking coating :(

Got the 5.0 about 95 % in , for measuring purposes, bit of a pain. Have to figure out the trans mount was getting tired last night and today I am wooped. Once I figure the trans crossmember placement I can figure my driveshaft length. And get one made.

Still wrestling around a bit on the trans crossmember placement, not too tough but lying on my back its not real easy either. bought the JTR book and am impressed with the detail it has. about 10 times as thick as the Converse instructions. Even though its about Chevy installs its worth the 30$ for the hints and tips it gives in detail.
Should come with the Converse "kit"LOL.

Removed the stock(Midasized)exhaust for more room underneath. Speaking of exhaust I may invest in a bigger hammer to "massage" the trans tunnel and exhaust downpipe routing areas.

So not much has been happening. Kids, work bla bla bla
I did work some on the crossmember, getting it closer. Got a HF creeper that works pretty good.
Should last long enough to finish the Bertone.
Old engine going away ! crossmember progress, where will the exhaust go ? Hmmmmmmm?

Thats crazy enough it just might work  Nah !
Have pulled the engine back out and just today replaced the rear main seal and the front pump seal. Its been a real slow go but its still going. Hoping in the next few days to have the engine dressed and ready to re-install.
Spent some quality time with a 6lb. sledge "massaging" the trans tunnel etc.
My back is trashed from cutting wood so lifting the torque convertor and tranny will have to wait.
Thats about it for now.

Still at it, snails pace. Engine is back in for the 4th time. Trying my best to fab up shift linkage. Once again I can't see how the Converse supplied linkage could work.
Maybe its part of a Mustang kit? (mines Explorer) Changed some things since I last posted. I cut down the A-arm mount for better exhaust clearance as well as sectioned the crossmember for more room.
cut a hole in the dash for a computor box.
I did smack my coated headers and they seemed to take it just fine. Time will tell.

All similar yet slightly different. Only added all 3 in case one wont work. I wouldn't suggest reading all 3 unless your laid up in the Hospital, really bored. lol
