Tiz the season for fog to be pouring over the roads. Last year I drove blind down country roads, only seeing about 2 feet in front of me. This year I plan to beat mother nature to the punch and have lights mounted under my bumper. Any reccomendations for brand/style? I'm looking for a whole kit (lights, wires, switch, relays). I'd like minimal modifications needed for the install and hopefully small lights too.

The OE Hellas that come on certain early model 740 cars works well on the 240. I have a set installed on both our 244 and 245. Under bumper for best results, mounted either toward the center or outboard toward the ends of the front bumper like on our 244. Find yourself a green 240 OE foglight switch for the dash, and pick yourself up a genuine Hella foglight wiring harness off Ebay for $40 and you're solid!

EDIT:
This is what I'm talking about. Pick this up and find yourself the OE 240 foglight switch and you're golden: http://forums.turbobricks.com/showthread.php?t=267550

How do you mount to a 240 though? Would I have to find different brackets? I sent him a message, hopefully I have dibs.

The other option I was looking at is something like this:

The other option for only $45:

I'm wondering if a modern light will function better than a 25 year old oem setup.

You can get the correct brackets to mount those Hella lights on a 240 by looking for a mid-80s BMW. They had the same lights mounted under the front bumper, and used the proper brackets.

They look like this bracket:

Turns out he has everything to mount them to a 240. He's going to mount them on the right brackets and make a 240 harness for me. Hopefully I'll be rocking fog lights by next week.
