Looks like my old man wants to go away from Volvos for a while. So, his other 245GL is going to be up for sale within the week.

Details: 1984 245GL M46 car. Silver with black interior. 225K mi, etc.

The good:

Clutch feels good
Vented brake rotors and calipers (normally solid on the GL models)
Bilstein TC struts and shocks
240 Turbo sway bars (alas wagon setup with 23 front, 16 rear)
iPd poly big trailing arm bushings and early 240 rubber torque rod bushings
Refinished Virgos (came off my car - look at 700volts' 1984 245 Turbo for sale post for the pics of the rims)
Working cruise control
Straight body with some minor rust spots here and there.
Nice rear seat in black leather
Blue cloth seats from '87 244DL in front
iPd cargo mat

The bad:

Needs water pump - leaks a jug of coolant every two weeks or so
iPd turbo exhaust rattles and needs a new muffler can
Steering rack is leaky
Needs either rear axle bearings or a new center support bearing, since it's quite noisy on the highway
No radio
Tires on said Virgos need to be replaced, and all balance weights are missing - must've been removed when rims were refinished, then never replaced
Clunk in front suspension due to gland nut coming loose on passenger strut cartridge
Former roof rack car

The ugly:

Previous owner left his Thule rack installed 24/7, so there are a couple wear spots on the paint above the windshield where his fairing was rubbing against the body of the car
Still has some of the roof rack shadow from the factory rack
Dash cracked - not majorly so, but the usual cracks
Windshield has some delamination going on around the edges and some dings from rock chips
Tailgate probably will be a gray one from an '89 245DL - am keeping the '90-'93 gate for my car
A couple minor dents and dings on the passenger side (fender, pass door, rear wheel arch)

$800, obo.

Is a good running and driving project. Pics show 5.75" round Hella headlamps installed. Will include those for an extra $100.

Yup, a low-compression B23F, complete with the late model 3-wire O2 sensor. Cast crank/piston block, so essentially a 1990 B230F, just with M rods. Comes with a couple AMM's for spares as well. 3.31 rear axle ratio, good for 31-32 mpg hwy on E0.

Scrapped this last year... Developed runnability problems in 2012, then blew its head gasket in late 2013. Got it back on the road in 2014, only to have the head develop bad valve guides. Has been replaced by a factory slicktop '92 245 with Aw70.
